The
Ceiriog Valley
The Ceiriog Valley lies just south and parallel to the scenic
Vale of Llangollen. The valley is ideal territory not only for
pony and quad treks, but cycling, mountain biking, fishing,
walking, birdwatching and golf.
Activity packages can be arranged by Ceiriog
Country Holidays.
The Ceiriog Valley is also rich in literature and was the home
of three poets - John Ceiriog Hughes 1832 - 1887, Huw Morus
1622 - 1709 (who wrote his poetry at Pontmeibion), Rev. Robert
Ellis 1812 - 1875. Also a notable literary figure Islwyn Ffowc
Elis, born in 1924.
It is an ideal place to base a holiday, with many attractions
in the surrounding area. |
